When I have a full day behind the computer, I usually feel like I need to make something or do something with my hands before I go home. This makes my day satisfying.
If I have about 20 minutes spare (sometimes even during the lunch break), I sneak into the workshop and quickly turn a bud vase.
These Vases are not large, about 100mm to 150mm high. It is a nice way to use up the scrap pieces of wood that was destined for the rubbish pile. Its also a great way to practice the skew chisel
The center is drilled with a Jacob's chuck and a glass test tube is inserted to hold the water for the vase.
